I don't know of any good Linux shops in Brisbane. EverythingLinux (a good
linux.conf.au 2002 sponsor and someone you should support) has them:

http://www.everythinglinux.com.au/category.php3?prodtype=normal&invcata=80&invcatb=6&back=%2Fcat.php3%3Ftt%3D1006902886%26invcata%3D80%26invcataname%3DDistributions%26invcatadesc%3DLinux%2BDistributions%2Blike%2BRedHat%252CCaldera%2Band%2BDebian&tt=1006902909

SuSE 7.0 GPL Pressed CD $11.00
SuSE 7.3 Personal Edition (English) $89.95
SuSE 7.3 Pro Edition (English) $145.00

You can order stuff from them and pay by B-Pay so you don't need a credit
card. Their order fulfillment can be a little slow, so you might do well
to phone them and ask about availability.

I have heard very good reports about this distro also. The German office
of my previous employer was entirely a SuSE shop.

Well the GPL disk above should be as free as a bird. The base distribution
is, I believe, Free Software. There may be additional toys and tools that
are not free software. This licensing information should be available on
the distro's disks. However:

	http://www.suse.com/us/products/suse_linux/i386/freedom.html

shows that the speak the rhetoric and most likely do not include
copy-restricted[1] source on their distro. Perhspas you should send
SuSE email and ask if there is any 'non-Open Source' software on their
distro? You could then report back to the list.

Cheers,

Raymond
