Hello,

you would need the kernel headers to compile the module if you had the 
module src so assuming you have already got a kernel unpacked then the 
following steps would do the trick (should work on 2.4.13)

select under networking options, Network packet filtering (replaces 
ipchains), then scroll down to IP: Netfilter Configuration, then compile 
<M>   IRC protocol support then "make modules modules_install" (to save 
space) then it will under /lib/modules/2.4.13/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter

otherwise you could do this to save space (or even verbosely to if you 
have it with -jtvf)

tar -jxvf linux-2.4.13.tar.bz2 linux/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack_irc.c

and put the attached makefile in the directory where it unpacked the file 
and "make", which won't work unless you have the kernel headers under 
/usr/src/linux/ :P 

you may also need ip_nat_irc.o
