Dont forget if you buy something in the US for 100 bucks it's 200 bucks AUD
and about $40 AUD for shipping and insurance plus you will need a different
AC adapter so it will become near $300. I buy a significant amount of gear
in the US and I find it easy to do but often it is not cheaper than dealing
in OZ and you do lose the advantage of trying before buying and also the
warranties are hard (but not impossible) to claim on.

Further, I find that most US e-retailers will be very reticent to ship out
of the USA, especially on credit card. of course cheques, money orders
telegraphic transfers all add to the cost of the transaction.
