i did hear of a project to do just that. but really, directx was written
for windows. i'd really love somebody to write a generic blizzard port that
would allow me to install games .... or perhaps just starcraft/diablo 2 as
they are the more popular blizzard games these days. (well until world of
warcraft is released at any rate)... unfortunately for linux gamers
blizzard has decided that a 'wait and see' approach is what they'd like for
gaming under linux. i really don't know what they're waiting for. if nobody
takes the plunge then everyone will be waiting forever and there'll be
nothing to see. (quake 3 doesn't count, i've only ever seen 2 people with
it installed under linux, and i was not able to purchase a copy from any
store i asked in. EB refused to order me a copy and Hardly Normal went
'there's a vesrion for linux?')
