[ Humbug *General* list - semi-serious discussions about Humbug and ]
[ Unix-related topics. Please observe the list's charter. ]
[ Worthwhile understanding: http://www.humbug.org.au/netiquette.html ]
Actually Pacific Internet offers a fixed IP address with their ADSL as a
standard service, they also can do the 1.5 Mb link too. Not sure what
Telstra can do speed-wise for ISP's but it is 512 Kb max for home users.
I think AAPT can do 2 Mb but the cost of that is quite expensive.
If you really want to blast Uecom offers acces to the 155 Mb link if you are
around the city area and want to forgo eating and owning a house and car (I
think its about a $6,000 connection fee and a blank cheque each month for
charges) but it is quick.
