[H-GEN] Sofware Freedom Day

Is there any interest in putting together an event (or 2 or 3) for 
Software Freedom Day? It's September 15th so just under 3 months to get 
something(s) happening.

I am happy to help co-ordinate something on the southside (Logan 
Libraries are very open to new events and have fantastic facilities as 
well as free wifi) but I can't commit to being a sole organiser. I can 
provide help on the day as well as being a go-fer.

I mention the southside because every August the library at Springwood 
celebrates science fiction month, and this is where you're likely to 
find the geeks & nerds that might be willing to try Linux.

http://softwarefreedomday.org/ is the website. Just an idea I thought 
might appeal to somebody other than me. There are several reasons for 
not wanting to be the sole organiser, mainly that I am going to be 
moving house in August and I just won't have the time with juggling 
that, 3 kids, and a uni subject. However what free time I have (hah 
what's that?) I am happy to assist others if there's any volunteers to 
take it on.
