While HUMBUG still offers first person support for Unixy and Open
Source stuff we have morphed to be more of a social club with a heavy
technical slant and a hint of formality. Is this a bad thing? No, in
fact it is *exactly* what I like!

Things have changed. Everybody has the internet and it is their primary
source of help and information and also even their primary social
platform. The fields of Education and Health have recognised this and
are starting to leverage the internet to augment and enhance themselves.

HUMBUG does have some presence on the interwebs - with the strongest
point being on IRC but much of our membership are on all the major
social networking platforms. Perhaps HUMBUG as an organisation should
more pervasively use social media (as openly as possible!).

HUMBUG is evolving, people are evolving (devolving, whatever...) and
the WWW is the 6th sense that people are developing.

I think there is some things which should be discussed in an Exec
 meeting in the near future:
  * How should HUMBUG become more visible in social media?
  * Which platforms should HUMBUG use? (for maximum openness, coverage
 and minimal effort)
