No sorry.  Last time I had to use this it was by trial and error (which
worked).

Since the real problem is over whether your home machine will work after
an upgrade, the easiest solution is probably just to clone your home
machine before the upgrade.  That is easy enough to do.  The paranoid
might put it into a linux box, and dd the entire thing.  The somewhat
less paranoid would use clonezilla.
