True. But unless another SGM occurs then it will be about another
year before a motion to overturn the previous motion takes place.

Independent decision?? What do you mean by that Stephen? Are you saying
that someone like say Russell can open the list even though the majority
at the AGM have voted against it and if so under what rules.
I have an issue with that as that means that just about anything is okay.
Even if people at the AGM have said no. There are things that I am sure
the previous Exec Presidents would have like to have done but were
prevented from doing so.

AGM, that just means that the list won't be opened because it was the
will of the majority of the members of the club at the time of the AGM.
That doesn't mean an independant decision to open the list won't be
made. A defeated motion doesn't mean defeated forever, and it doesn't
mean defeated until another poll of the club at a format meeting is
taken.
