[H-GEN] HUMBUG AGM 2009

Hi All,

In preparation for the AGM to be held this Saturday the executive has
prepared an Agenda which is kept on the HUMBUG wiki at http://www.humbug.org.au/AGM2009
. Any member that wishes to have an issue discussed at the AGM should
ensure that an item is added to the page either by adding it
themselves or sending an email to the exec with as much detail as
possible. Also, if there are any motions that are proposed from these
discussion items could a complete motion be included under the
discussion item. This will hopefully allow for the item to be
discussed more quickly, for voting on motions to be conducted more
quickly, and therefore shorten the duration of the AGM.

I would also like to ask that all nominations for executive positions
be made either on that wiki page, the general mailing list or directly
to the executive at exec at humbug.org.au (which will then be transcribed
to the wiki by an executive member) before the AGM commences on
Saturday at 6pm. This will hopefully make the process of nominations
and voting on the night much simpler. I will still call for
nominations on the night, but I hope these will be the exception
rather than the rule.

If you would like to nominate a proxy for your vote at the AGM please
send an email to exec at humbug.org.au and cc the intended proxy with the
details as soon as possible. Proxies for the AGM will be accepted by
the executive if they are received by the mailman software on
excalibur (HUMBUG's mailing list server) by 5:30pm AEST on Saturday
night. Paper proxies will be accepted by the executive up until the
start of the AGM. As per the constitution of the club, "an eligible
Financial Member may proxy his voting rights for one Special General
Meeting by providing the president, vice-president, or secretary with
signed written notice of their intent. This may be in physical, or
authenticated electronic form."

Thanks

James Iseppi
HUMBUG President
