[H-GEN] software version tracking

Just wondering what software you guys might recommend for keeping
track of software versions on a small network.  The
clients/workstations are various OS's - Windows, Mac, Linux.

In my searching I came across this one:
http://www.ocsinventory-ng.org/

Looks like it covers most of the things I'm interested in, but not
sure if it's recommended, or if there's something "better".
