Just to be clear, this is my best guess as to what this is all
about:

1. You have to of secured a booking at the Uni colleges. (The
colleges are usually one of the cheapest places to stay,
and IMO the best because you are more likely to meet others.)

2. Going by the floor plans, the "apartments" are the usual
single locked private room/bed/study affair found at all
Uni colleges. Like normal college rooms these rooms share
facilities - a bathroom, kitchenette, and a common room
(from memory - check the floor plans). The only difference
is instead of the rooms opening onto one long thin corridor,
they open onto an more squarish space that contains these
same facilities. Well, that and having only six people
sharing these facilities is a much better ratio than normal.
Usually its more like 20 or 30.

So, think of this as being asked whether you want to nominate
what wing/floor you want to stay in at a normal college - not
whether you want to "share a room" with someone. You can
either choose to stay with people you know, or be placed at
random. Both have their advantages, but since I have taken
the random route the previous 6 LCA's, I thought it would be
nice to try for "someone I know" for a change.
