The library software I mentioned in my earlier reply included a
membership database, as it is a necessary part of library software to
know who the members are so the software knows who is allowed to bother
the librarian with loan requests.

Not saying that what I have is ready to go, I have not worked on that
for some time and some of the bits may have rotted.  Certainly I have
discussed the requirements with past HUMBUG librarians, and
secretaries, as well as being one myself.  Should be something
salvageable from what I have done.
