*G'day Humbug,
I am hoping that someone at Humbug can refer me to an avenue where I can
gain some assistance so I CAN make some simple php code run on one of my
websites. I have 19 websites, 23 Bulletin boards and 30 domain names. [I
have come a long way since thinking of installing my own apache.] I spend
about 100 hours per week online, because I realise how effectively the
'Internet' can achieve so much that is worthwhile. I do very little email,
and NO spamming. I detest spam and gmail is so very effective at separating
it. I do not even have my 'own list'. Instead, I have many regular
viewers/visitors. I am not making any money yet, but hope to one day. I
have been concentrating on obtaining good Search Engine Rankings.
I expect that I will be doing more php programming in the future. Can any
members refer me to an authoritative site of the predominate basic php
functions fully explained?
I have been associated with Humbug for many years from RedHat6 days. I
favour Open Source software. All my Bulletin Boards are the open source
phpBB and the lastest version of 3.0.4 with 10 different language packs
installed across them. I use Mozilla/SeaMonkey composer and Firefox. I
understand html well enough to modify html code to produce the results I
require. I have quite a few phpContact forms installed on my sites. With
the experience I have had with logical programing from fortran in 1976
through later fortran, basic and matlab, I have been able to modify the php
send program. I have also installed a few data validation subroutines. I
am having problems with Captcha and 'Contact form with attachment', using
PEAR. *
