Excellent, FYI a couple of tips:

1) Ensure that DMA disk access is enabled, check using hdparm[1]

2) The default system clock of the Linux 2.6 kernel is 1000/second, which
unnecessarily stresses the virtual hardware: recompile the kernel to a
lower setting, ie 100/second as per 2.4 kernels.[2]
