Hey folks,

As I'm sure many of you are aware, AUUG is pretty sick atm, and may
well be on it's last legs; there seems to be a general consensus to
shut AUUG down. An AGM was apparently held recently, but I haven't
seen any definite outcomes of that.

At the same time, linux australia has opened nominations for their
2008 elections, and most (all?) of the current executive have decided
not to rerun.

These events just got me thinking about how often we take the
community leaders for granted. There are many options available now
for people to stand up and lead the community, I'm happy to say that
Marco Ostini has this year accepted my nomination for the LA board.

So stand up and have a go :)
