This is why I am wanting to hear from people with experience before
going to speak to accountants and lawyers.  If I have at least half a
clue, then I will be better able to figure out if the accountants and
lawyers I speak to have a full clue.  I'll also be prepared with the
right questions.

The company in question has a Canadian office, so maybe Canadian law
can offer a better arrangement.  We shall see.
