[H-GEN] Stopping Mail that's 'queued' to go

Hi All,
I'm in a bit of a hurry and found this list amazingly quick at times, so
please forgive me in advance for not RTFM-ing.
My work's mailman list server (running on debian sarge) has been down
for a few days - my fault entirely, I deleted the 'mailman' list
thinking it was only a 'test' list, and not needed (sys-admin in case
anyone hasn't noticed is not my forte).
I have just restarted mailman and noticed that it is 'catching up' -
i.e. sending out all the mail that was sent to it while it was down (I
didn't expect this). The problem is that I've noticed some list-members
have been reposting items to lists, wondering why they weren't showing
up. There is one repost in particular I know is coming, and it's quite
large. I'd like to stop it if possible to save the list-members having
to download the e-mail several times.
Is this possible, and if so where do I look to find the 'queue'.
I've stopped mailman for now while I look.
Oh, we use sendmail too to deliver mail.
TIA
David
