Don't damn the thin client concept because MS can't get it right.  I 
strongly urge you to try LTSP with an open mind.  If it doesn't work for 
you you've only lost a small amount of time (setup is fast).  If it works 
for you then you have saved big $$$.  I've been running a Linux based thin 
client on my desktop for the last 10 years.  It's so transparent sometimes 
even I forget.
