[H-GEN] Open source CMS experiences.

The boss wants me to install an open source CMS system on the web site.
It's for community building amongst our customers and interested
parties. The need for forums was mentioned. He also said it needs to
be easily expandable, for when the users ask "Why don't you add foo?".
I have a few candidates already, but I would like to gather some
experiences from people about the various open source CMS systems out
there.

I would prefer Java, the boss would prefer PHP, so either would be
acceptable. Open source and free for a company to use is a must.
Support is not an issue, I can handle that. A forum <-> mailing list
gateway would be required. A modular CMS with a healthy third party
module writing community would work well.

Mambo has already been ruled out by the boss, although he likes the way
it looks. Drupal is something I have recent experience with, so it's
on the short list already. I don't know if XMS has forums, I'll check
that, if it does it may make the short list coz I have recent
experience with it and I'm in daily contact with it's author. OpenCMS
is something I have not so recent experience with, but I will probably
rule it out as being more corporate publishing oriented than community
building.

What others are there that HUMBUG members have experience with and that
might fit the bill? Feel free to relate any experiences with those I
have mentioned already.
