I recently bought the following system:
- Athlon 64 3800+
- Asus A8N-E Socket 939 nForce 4 Motherboard
- 2x512Mb Kingston/Kingmax PC3200 DDR RAM
- Maxtor 160Gb SATA
- Leadtek Winfast PX6600 GT TDH 128Mb PCI-E
- LG 16x DVD Black
- Antec Sonata II + Extra Antec 120mm Fan
For $1668 from Umart Online in Milton. So far everything is working
perfectly for me under SuSE 10.0.
The Graphics card is *not* what you are looking for -- not sure what
other people would advise. However, I heartily recommend the Antec
Sonata II case: neat and very, very quite. Almost MacIntosh levels
of peace.
Cheers,
Raymond
