On the other hand, only the designated exec member is forced to stay
late, and they are at liberty to close early if there is no demand for
it that night.  That has only happened once that I know of.  Everybody
else is free to come and go as they please.  There is always demand for
late nights, and not just for socialising.  When we changed to a fixed
1AM closing, that was a compromise between the members that wanted to
stay later, and the exec members that wanted to go home earlier.

It really only affects the exec members, and only once every five
meetings per exec member if the task is shared equally.  That's one
late night every two and a half months, and even then you can always
trade meeting duties.  For the sake of less than half a dozen late
nights each for five individuals over the year, I don't think it
warrants an AGM agenda item.  Let the exec decide for themselves how
late they are prepared to stay.

Just putting things in perspective.  I'm guessing the people that want
late nights haven't woken up yet.  B-)
