Of course, I put to you why fix it if it isn't broken?

Unless you need a particular new feature, save yourself the work,
hassle, and possibility of egg-on-face by sticking with the version the
vendor supplies.

If your vendor is worth what you paid them (or what they believe they're
worth), chances are the default version will not only be better tested,
but probably just as, if not, more secure.
