[H-GEN] Fedora Question

Hi,

I normally use Debian or Gentoo systems but I thought
I would give Fedora Core 4 a go before assuming it's a
bad distro.

One of the first things I did was install fluxbox so I
can have a less resource hungry work environment.

The strange thing is that when I login I get a black
screen for about 2 seconds before fluxbox comes up so
I can work.

On every other distro I have ever used fluxbox was
useable instantly after pressing enter on the login
screen. 

So my question is why such a long wait for fluxbox to
load and can I fix it so it loads instantly like on
other distros I have used.
