[H-GEN] Generating Powerpoint presentations under Unix

I'm looking for software that runs under Unix variants that can
generate Powerpoint presentations (suitable to be displayed by
Windows machines).

If anybody knows of software that can do this, especially if
they have success stories to share, I'd be most grateful to hear
from you -- or, to be completely truthful, my wife would be most
grateful if I hear from you ...
