[H-GEN] Running URL from Shell Prompt

G'day All,

I need to run/execute/access a simple html file that is on the server from another machine.

In the file, its has simple text (Hello World).

i.e.

$ command http://somewhere.com/simple_file.html
Hello World

$ _

Whats the command that will do? And I dont need to see the content of it. Its like browsing the page from shell prompt and exit back to the prompt.

I tried/used 'lynx' but it stays witin the program and need to exit out of the program. Maybe I'm missing command line options?? Do I need a script?

Any help, idea, suggestion welcome.
