I have a Samsung ML-1210, it came with Linux drivers on the CD, which I 
didn't need. As soon as I plugged it into the USB port Mandrake did 
everything for me.

The toner cartridge costs about $150 and does 3000 pages, the printer is 
no longer available but the ML-1710 retails for about $322.
