[H-GEN] KDE Panel

Hi,
    I've recently decided to dump RH/FC and am looking at other options 
- trying SuSE and Gentoo just to stave off any "Try this" posts ;) - and 
am trying KDE instead of GNOME as I've been using up till now.  My one 
problem is that I think the panel sucks big time, mostly with applets 
like weather being hard to configure, and the system monitor not being 
very flexible.  I've started running gnome-panel instead, but can't 
figure out how to turn off the KDE panel.  I can get it hidden, at 1% 
width, but I still know it's there.

    So, does anyone know how to turn it off?
