Hi All....this is probably an easy one but i havent found an answer to
it yet....
I have a Celeron 2.2 ghz MSI 7500 m/b running 2 40ghz h/d ...the first
one has Fedora Core 1 and is the one i use at the moment...i am setting
up Debian Sarge on the second one from 12 cds supplied by one of the
local Linux gurus.....
the m/b only has one physical serial port and i need 2...one for the
modem and one for the press to talk on an amateur radio program....i
purchased a NetMos multi serial port card to get the phyisical second
port....(2 serial port card)...
in Fedora i have the PPT on ttyS0 and the modem on ttyS3 via the port
card....i added the following command in the rc.local script and it
loads the second port very well...setserial /dev/ttyS3 port 0xd400 uart
16550A irq 5 baud_base 115200...
however when it comes to Debian Sarge there is no such script and i have
tried to put the command into various places with no luck...
when i start Debian i have to manually put the command in to get the
modem to work...would love the auto way.....
can anyone help me with this problem....
thanking you for your help
