TOEs are only of benefit when you are loading all your CPUs at maximum, 
_and_ managing many gigabit or 10Ge interfaces that are running near 
capacity. I would definitely not advocate placing one in a firewall 
running exposed to the net.

Suggesting a TOE for a common use would be like suggesting that you move 
the kernel VFS layer to the hard drive controller itself.
