I just became the proud owner of a 2nd hand Mac LC630. Knowing very
little about Macintosh hardware, I noticed that it came with a keyboard
but no mouse. I did work out that the mouse will connect to the keyboard
but it's too old to be usb. It's some sort of round connector that looks
like ps/2 but isn't (not enough pins).
I have no idea what software is on it, but I'm curious which
distribution it would be able to take. Apparently the 250meg drive in it
is scsi, and from the searching I did it should be able to run MacOS8.1
... I shall eventually boot it to see if there is any OS on it.
However, what I would like to know is if anyone knows where to get a
mouse that will fit (or has one gratis or cheap) and also about where to
get software for it (assuming it won't run debian PPC or similar).
thanks,
Sandra.
