If you want to do a net install then I recommend the Debian mini install
CD that goes by the filename bootbf2.4-xfs.iso.  It can be found on the
Debian website as an unoffical install CD.  The version I have uses
2.4.20 patched for xfs and there is a more recent version since then.

This installs only the bare minimum from CD and pulls everything else from
the web.

Also, it only offers ext2 or xfs as filesystem types.
