There certainly does seem to be a school of thought that says
that, if we ever get rid of the penis-enlargement, Nigerian
scam, Viagra and porn spam, then we will just have opened the
flood gates to the Myer/K-Mart/McDonald's/etc crowd who will
then feel free to spam us to their collective corporate hearts'
content ...

Personally, I'd like spam to stay in the domain of the criminals
and sleaze bags.
