I wouldn't go that far :)  As long as stdin & stdout remain options (which
they will, they are too ingrained in the unix CLI) other options can be
put in tools and it won't bother me too much.

Truth is I normally do use a cat and a pipe when it could be avoided.  Oh
well, the debates will go on I guess :)
