Their statement means nothing unless they can back it up in the courts.

I will continue to use Linux and will not pay SCO a cent. If they think
they can win, I'll see them in court.

Since the involvement of Microsoft came out I think it is clear what the
motives are. They can deny this of course, but that doesn't stop it being
true.

The mis-quotatations of Richard Stallman and Bruce Perens featured on the
SCO web site are below contempt. They are so clearly mis-quotes that at
first I honestly thought SCO was making a late April fool's day joke.
Mis-quoting indiviuals is a pathetic attempt by SCO to lend credence to
their untenable position.

I am laughing at SCO. Their company is going down and all they can do to
try and stop it is to lash out at an open source operating system.
Pathetic.

The only ones I feel sorry for are the SCO employees who will be out of a
job when the company goes under [1].

Don't think for a moment that I am angry at SCO, because I am not. I have
contempt for the company and will never again regard them with the
slightest bit of respect.

[1] Or is sold off for scap metal by IBM. IBM had been considering buying
SCO before they were sued by them.

Cheers,
	Rob
