Yesterday i experianced a rather strange problem with dhcp
I was using a bootable linux cdrom to act as my internal
dhcp, ntp, named server
However some time yesterday arvo the ram drive must have
filled and dhcpd crashed
The only reason i was notified of this was because 2
machines went offline
At closer inspection i discovered they had internet class
IP addresses
A quick whois and the ips really belong to IAPA
I cannot understand how this happened and through a
firewall as well

Anyone care to shed some light on how this is possible
And perhaps even a little solution so i can prevent it from
happening again
