It's a R250 based card(9k pro) and using Xfree's DRI Neverwinter Nights runs
at around 1-5fps(a slideshow, trust me), with the ATI supplied drivers
Neverwinter Nights gets more frames than it does when i'm booted into
windows(*shudder*), around 30-40.

Well you see it's 'unreleased' by ATI's standards(i'm assuming this because
they dont have it on their download page) but I did find it on the webpage
of a company that distributes ATI video cards, and there was no indication
that the driver is anything else but complete and fully working. You would
think they wouldnt distribute them if they were broken because of the
support nightmares that would eventuate in that case. (I can't find the site
offhand, but I will get it for you so you can have a look). I have a strong
feeling that it's a mouse related problem, so I suppose all i'm asking for
is mabye some things I can enable/disable/tweak to do with the mouse pointer
and how it behaves in X.

Yes it seems that way, my apologies, do I have to stay for detention after
school now? :P
Joe.
