I have seen both System Imager and Partition Image for Linux, and they
seem like a good start. As Tony Nugent said, parted and partimage are
not very well polished. They could do with a nice GUI, or at least a
much better interface, and better "integration" than they currently
have.

Were you interested in writing an app, or an interface for these
existing apps, as well as fdisk, then I'd be sure to use it! :) I also
know a lot of other people who'd gladly use it instead of Ghost -
Symantec Ghost is nice, I'll admit (I've used it ever since ver 1.0,
when GhostSoft in New Zealand owned it), but I'd rather use a Linux
solution. Same goes for Partition magic - I've used it since it was
wearing nappies, but I'd rather a Linux solution.
