[H-GEN] Bootable Linux distro, partition backup/restore

Briefly (not tested, just off the top of my head - but I have done it
before):

1.  rsh/ssh to the destination.  mkfs the destination partition
    and mount it.

2.  Run on the source machine:
     (cd /source-partition; tar cf - .) |
     ssh destination 'cd /destination-partition; tar xf -'
