This method is clumsy, but good when you are desperate. Creating
a symbolic link that points to a location on /home and moving
part of /usr to this location can allevate the lack of storage on
/usr.
But this method is a bit on the "ugly" side. Think of it as a
"hack" to be used when desperate and other courses of action are
so drastic; making this option look attractive. Definitely do this
in single user mode (I would not be attempting this in multi-user
mode).
Alternatively Partition Magic 7.0 Pro will allow you to resize
Ext2 partitions (along with almost everything else). This option
allows you to quickly resize various partitions and avoid this
problem.
BTW: As I discovered, Linux fdisk doesn't not allow you to create
more than 16 partitions on any one drive. Just thought I'd mention
that in passing.
