              Letter To The Editor

    Dear Sir,
             I hope I am as liberal and progressive as the next person
but I nearly fell out of my chair at the club when upon opening my copy
of the Internet Times at the following page,

             I found that my old weapon of choice nvi is to be dropped
in future because of being overloaded with newfangled dodaads.
             What is to be done ? Most of the similar weapons are already
carrying these imposts. If a good Company Commander like Cpt. Freyer is
thinking like this the other chaps will fall into line.
             Old Contemptibles like me will probably muddle through with
ed and cat -n in these days of scrollable virtual terminals but it is
sure to alarm the new recruits.
             Next thing you know the club will be running out of the
Cockburn '96 Port.
