I need to dispose of some old DEC equipment that has been housed with
long-suffering family, and friends. Preference will be given to people
who will pick up AIWI, and then to DEC collectors.

- Two SCSI external drive 'housing'; one DECtape drive. Known to have
worked at some point in their lives. Free to a good home; happy to
  bring to HUMBUG.

- Two known buggered DECsystem 3100s. Nature of unnatural acts suffered
unknown. Nice 'slimline' desktop cases. Also free to a good home; also
  happy to bring to HUMBUG.

- A number[1] of Colour Digital 19" fixed frequency monitors, 3BNC,
sync on green. These will suit the DECstation and VAXstation equipment
that was being sold-off by various Uni of Qld places some years
ago. (FWIW, these monitors were saved by me when DSTC planned to
junk them three years ago.) They are of two types:

  - 'old-style'. Model no VR320. FTZ C-251/89. More documentation
    at http://www.monitorworld.com/Monitors/dec/vr320.html

  - 'new-style', Sony tubes. Model no VRT19-H4. Documentation for
    a close-to model at http://www.monitorworld.com/Monitors/dec/vrt19.html

Now, the monitors are of varying quality. The older ones are a little
fuzzy. Some have some colour problems. Prices vary:

  - FREE: as is, where is (you come, I give you a monitor).
  - $50.00: known good, you come and take it away. Free dodgy
    monitors with every purchase.[2]
  - Brought to HUMBUG: $60.00, you get what I bring.
  - Delivered: negotiatble.

Will these monitors work with your PC? The answer is: yes with effort.
You will need a video card that can do precisely the right frequency,
  and some patience.

  http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_fix_freq.html provides a place to
start. http://nekhbet.com/ might be a promising start for X11 modelines.

Cheers,

Raymond
[1] I'm really not sure how many.
[2] i.e. $50.00 and bring your own trailer and you can have the lot.[3]
[3] they are big, heavy, and I have to get rid of them.
