RESEND -
Did any people get this I sent it last night with a 53k map attached. I
haven't received it as yet?

---------------
Hi all,

Attached is a map of the area around my place so you can work out how
you get there. I have tried to keep it small without losing too much
detail. It blows up to 200% and is quite readable at that mag.

PRIVATE CAR
parking for around 30 cars in the laneway between Crawford Ave and
Clifford St parallel to Stafford Road. See yellow dot on map marked
"10".

There is room for hundreds more across Stafford Road behind Fridge
Bottle Shop (see black parking area on map)

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

All times given are for LAST bus that will get you there in time for
meeting. There are others earlier. The 325, 335 and 375 are around every
15 mins at that time of night, or even more frequent. Even the 346 and
353 are around 15 mins as well.

CITY and VALLEY areas

Stafford City 375 bus leaves first Adelaide St stop outside City Hall at
6:20pm. It leaves the Valley in Brunswick St (outside Delahunties
Chemist / arcade side) at 6:28 pm.

Leaves Lutwyche Road at Lutwyche with a sharp left turn and eventually
turns sharp right into Richmond St then sharp left into Stafford Road.
Press the bell just after you pass the Caltex Service station on the
right. This should be around 6:44 pm. See the brown route on the map.

You alight at Stop 30 on Stafford Road and keep walking in direction bus
going for about 75m to Clifford St (traffic lights) about 2 mins. This
is best one to catch.

The 6:38pm (Valley 6:46 pm) one will get you there just after 7:00 p.m.

NB for those in Western Suburbs near Paddington / Bardon areas the 375
works through from Bardon via Paddington and along main ridge roads to
Caxton St and thence City and onto Stafford City.

CITY - Creek St end area

For those down near Creek St in the City coming from work, a 353
CHERMSIDE bus leaves outside the ANZ bank / Starbucks in Queen St at
6:35pm. It passes the Valley on Brunswick St at Alfred St at 6:39pm.
(outside the Adult shop there). It travels through Wilston and Grange to
Grange / Webster Roads.

It gets to Stop 30 on Stafford Road (just around corner from traffic
lights after bus leaves Webster Road - NOT shown on map) at around 6:51
pm. See the Red route on the map.

346 ASPLEY buses also leave from here and drop you off at stop 30
STAFFORD on Webster Rd

335 and 339 buses leave from same side of Queen Street but across Creek
St between Post Office Square and the National Bank. They do not go via
Southbank, but go via the Valley. A 339 express to stop 30 STAFFORD on
Webster Rd leaves at 5:55 pm and a 335 at 6:15pm.

CITY and SOUTHBANK

For those going from Western and Southern Suburbs via Busway, the 6:25
BOONDALL 325 leave Adelaide St (outside police stn next to Commonwealth
Bank on cnr Albert St) [opposite side of road to the 375 stop at the
City Hall] at 6:25 pm and the Cultural Centre Station at 6:27 pm.

After you pass through Newmarket and do a sharp left and sharp right
almost immediately through traffic lights at the Grange you enter Grange
Road which becomes Webster Road. When you pass the RAYMONT Road stop you
cross Kedron Brook on a bridge. Press the bell.

You alight at the STAFFORD stop (stop 30) on Webster Road at around 6:46
pm. You cross Webster Road, walk down School Road to Crawford Ave, turn
right and walk down hill to lane on left near launderette and turn
into to lane. My place is on the laneway. See the Green route on the
Map.

NORTHERN SUBURBS via CHERMSIDE or MCDOWALL

For those coming from CHERMSIDE / BOONDALL / TAIGUM the 335 CITY bus
leaves Taigum at 6:00 pm and Chermside "A" at 6:18 and arrives at Stop
30 on Webster Road at around 6:25pm. A 325 bus leaves BOONDALL STATION
at
6:30pm and Chermside "A" at 6:51pm arriving STAFFORD Stop 30 on Webster
Road at 6:58pm.

On both buses you press the bell after you pass the WILGARNING ST stop
and Walk in direction of travel to School Road and follow above
directions after alighting - about 5 mins. See green route on map

A 353 leaves CHERMSIDE "D" at 6:15pm and travels via McDowall 6:22pm and
Everton Park area arriving at the Stafford City stop 30 around 6:35pm.
You walk in direction of travel along Stafford Road until you reach
Clifford St. Alternately you can stay on and get off outside Stafford
School. About 5 mins. See red route on map.

TRAIN

Those on the Ferny Grove line can alight at Windsor 6:22pm and transfer
to the 375 bus on Lutwyche Road. Walk towards city along Lutwyche Road
about 50m from end of Eildon Road. Don't cross Lutwyche Road. Buses get
to Windsor about 6:33 pm and 6:51 pm.

Alternately you can get off at Newmarket 6:18pm and exit via subway,
cross Wilston Road and catch the 325 BOONDALL at around 6:40 pm. or
Wilston 6:20pm and exit via subway and cross Newmarket Road and catch
the 353 CHERMSIDE at around 6:45pm

Other train travellers are best to alight at Brunswick St and catch the
bus from the Valley or South Brisbane and catch the bus from the
Cultural Centre.

For more complex trips consult the Transinfo web page to plan them
yourself www.transinfo.qld.gov.au.

COMING OUT EARLY AND HAVING DINNER AT STAFFORD

For those who wish to come out earlier straight from work, there are
several reasonably priced restaurants - Chinese (Cantonese / American),
Chinese (Malaysian / American), Thai, French Restaurant and Cafe / Deli
(dearest and mostly requires booking), and two hamburger / fish and chip
shops. All have dine in facilities or take away except French. All these
are within 70m of the meeting venue. The prices are from well under $5
for the fish and chip shops to around $12 on average for the oriental
places and over $20 for the French.

Cheers

Garry
