At the risk of creating a holy jihad about desktops .....

I'm planning to moving my home desktop machine finally away from M$
Windows, as WINE is stable enough to support the remaining windows apps I
still want to run. I have been a long time slackware distro person, so will
probably continue to use that as my base (plus my one of my other machines
is a slack boxen).

However, when it comes to desktop there is the rub. KDE or Gnome or ......
?

What I am really after is a guide to what is available, what is supported
in terms of features and the range of supported themes. ie is there a good
website reference that reviews linux desktops? Thought?

Thanks,

Nik
