Thanks Rick
Everything worked except
mount -t smbfs /mnt/SharedDocs /192.168.0.10/XPpublic
My XPublic directory is in 'C:/My documents and settings' Running the
command it says that it cannot resolve the share
I tried
mount -t smbfs /mnt/SharedDocs /192.168.0.10/My Documents and
Settings/Xppublic
And moving the folder to the C: directory and then running
mount -t smbfs /mnt/SharedDocs /192.168.0.10/C:/Xppublic
Both times I get the same error as above.
HOWEVER, by using the mount SMB SHARES part of the Mandrake setup I can
now see the folder on the XP machine.
BUT how can I change the permissions on the mounted share so that I can
create files in it on the Linux machine and they appear on the XP
machine. Is this possible?
