On Mandrake 9.0 (and all the other Mandrake versions I have used) the
document root is /var/www/html

I am playing with php as well. I have successfully created from bits of
code a form that people can go to and enter their name and e-mail address.

That information is then e-mailed to a Majordomo bot to subscribe them
to a list.

Later I intend to create a form that has several lists on it. They will
enter their name e-mail address and select either subscribe or
unsubscribe on each list with radio buttons.
