I use the default monospaced font in all the browsers I use, on
the grounds that they should have chosen something that is, at
the very least, capable of displaying the 94 printable ASCII
characters unambiguously (i.e., without using one glyph for two
different characters).  If the default settings cannot manage
that, the thing is just broken -- even if, by some legerdemain,
I could find a way of "fixing" it.
