Hi There,
The only problem I can see is setting up Linux on them. I am not too
familiar with PPC Linux or the such, but once Linux was loaded, I don't see
many problems. The only possible problem that comes to mind would be does
the Clustering software run on a Mac? I suppose we should be able to get all
the source code and compile it ourselves, but we should check it out before
we commit. What are the differences we might have to overcome in building
custom Clustering kernels on a Mac? Are we likely to have any hardware
issues down the track we will have to deal with? Does anyone else have any
concerns?

This is a very generous offer, and so I suppose on behalf of the
Clustering SIG that seems to be forming, I suppose I could say a tentative
Yes to accepting. Any other feedback or concerns guys? This Project seems to
be moving ahead, so lets keep it rolling. I will chat to my friend about if
Beowulf and/or any other free Clustering software works with Macs and get
back to you all. Unfortunately I am unable to attend the Meeting tomorrow or
next fortnight, but we really should get together and start to hammer out
some of these issues a little more formally so we can get full support from
the Humbug Committee to go ahead.
    Cheers!
        Andrew.
