[H-GEN] MYSQL commands via MSAccess?

I have mysql running on linux, with a windows PC running Ms Access, with the
myodbc driver, so I can see mysql as tables in MSaccess. This all works
well, but I have some commands I would like to run via access, and I cannot
find docs on how to do it. i.e I want to empty table TEST. TO do this in
mysql,it is as easy as 'delete from TEST' and takes less than a second. But
MS access seems to want to delete it record by record and takes about 20
mins to empty the DB. Is there a way to pass mysql commands to the server
'through' MS access??
