some of the epson printers (the 1270, and 1290, proabably the 2000P and
the 2100 too) have to have a chip reset in the ink cartridge, which
makes it more expensive to re-fill. Although personally I have always
seen a quality drop in re-filled ink cartridges, which is why I don't
use them. Apart from that I seem to get very good prints from linux,
although the 2000P always prints too slow.
